 “Vijay Diwas” Celebrated Enthusiastically in Kaveri College


       Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts,Science and Commerce, Pune organized a tribute paying and gratitude expressing program on Thursday, 16th December, 2021 on the occasion of Vijay Diwas. 

       The remembrance of Vijay Diwas fills the heart and mind of every Indian with sheer pride and happiness. It is the day to pay our tribute and express our gratitude towards the courage and valor of our Indian Army and Soldiers. On 16th December, India celebrates Vijay Diwas to commemorate its victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war, which led to the creation of Bangladesh. On this day, Indians pay homage to the brave soldiers of our country. The defining moments in the history of the subcontinent also established the prowess of the Indian Armed Forces including the Army, Air Force and Navy. Vijay Diwas 2021 marked the 51th anniversary celebrations of India’s victory over Pakistan in 1971. 


      Principal Dr. Ashok Agrawal, Vice Principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar was present for the program. Retired Subhedar Mr. Satish Jambhale was the Chief Guest for the program. Ms. Sujata Bacchav- Assistant Program Officer of NSS Department at Kaveri College, welcomed everyone, introduced the guest of honour and briefed everyone upon his work span and achievements. Ms. Sujata summarized the purpose and significance of celebrating Vijay Diwas. 2 minutes of silence was observed to remember and pray for the Soldiers, who sacrificed their lives in the war for the sake of Nation.
