Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce organized a Tree Plantation Programme on 15th Dec 2021 at Taljai Hills. 60 NSS candidates participated in this noble activity.
Principal Dr. Ashok Agrawal and Vice Principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar motivated and appreciated students for actively participating in this tree plantation drive. Prof. Nilesh Nemade, Program Officer, NSS department at Kaveri College, guided students over the benefits of tree plantation, causes and harms of global warming, etc. Forest Reserve Staff Mr. P. Chavhan guided students and helped them in the task.
NSS candidates also cleaned the location by collecting the plastic and garbage littering around the premises of the hill, and planted around 200 plants in the entire area like: Neem, Banyan, Peepal, Jamun, Bakul, etc. The program was executed in a systematic manner under guidance and observation of NSS PO Prof. Nilesh Nemade, and cooperation by Prof. Dr. Anand Budhikot and Prof. Sujata Bachhav.
