Team Kaveri’s “Safar” won “The Bhagirath Karandak”

A team of students from Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science  and Commerce, Pune had participated in Purushottam Karandak Inter College One Act Play Competition. The team successfully managed to get in the Final round of competition. The team bagged the title of Best Organized Group and the award of Bhagirath Karandak. This award earned by students has added spark to the glory of Kaveri. Swarali Pendse bagged a prize of “Best Voice Acting Skills” for her role of ‘Netra Joshi’ in the play. In the last round of play, Manas Ghorpade won the “Runner Up Prize” for his role of ‘Aryan’ in the play. 

This one-act play, ‘Safar’ was written by Soham Jadhav and Swarali Pendse. The play was directed by Swarali Pendse and Yash Potnis.Students Sarthak Ketkar, Swarali Pendse, Atharva Bhagwat, Manas Ghorpade, Aniket Aathawle, Shubham Patki, Kshitij Kulkarni, Mugdha Dalvi, Yashraj Deshmukh, Nishant Dalal, Swarada Deodhar, Aarya Ranade, Mahek Mankame, and Shruti Deodhar played different roles in the play. Everyone performed their best in the assigned roles and successfully added a feather to Kaveri’s cap.

Trustees of Kannada Sangha Pune, Principal Dr. Ashok Agrawal and Vice Principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar have heartily congratulated the student artists for their success in Purushottam Karandak One Act Play Competition, and expressed that they felt immensely proud of the efforts taken by the team and the achievement. Ms. Suchismita Mohanty- Cultural Committee Head at Kaveri College and other teachers always guided, supported and motivated students and felt sheer happiness and proud witnessing efforts being appreciated in the form of winning a Bhagirath Karandak in the Competition.
