Orientation Programme for the First Year students of Kaveri College of Science and Commerce

Kannada Sangha’s Kaveri College of Science and Commerce, conducted the Orientation Programme for the first year students and their parents of B.Com, B.Sc., BCA, BBA and BA on 19th July, 2014 in the college auditorium.
Smt. Malati Kalmadi, Secretary, Kannada Sangha Pune was the Guest of Honour of the programme. Mr. Anand Desai, Director of Dheya Career Mentors (India) Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Arun Kumbhar of Seed Infotech also graced the occasion.  Dr. S.B.Kharosekar, Principal, Kaveri College, Mrs. Suchismita Mohanty, Vice Principal, Teachers and alumni were present.  A very big number of first year students and their parents were present for this programme.
In her welcome speech, Mrs. Suchismita Mohanty made all the parents aware about the objective behind conducting the program. Smt. Malati Kalmadi, Guest of Honour of the programme, enlightened the parents with the history and philosophy of Kannada Sangha. She motivated the students by saying, “Dream, believe in your dreams and act on them by your deeds.”  Dr. S.B. Kharosekar, in his speech explained how the parents play an important role in the development of the students and appealed the parents to co-operate in resolving the difficulties of the student-centered problems of the college. He also told the rules and regulations of the college for the students.
On this occasion, 3 of the alumni of the college, Ms. Sapna Shetty, Ms. Madhura Tamhankar and Mr. Ambrish Prabhu shared their experiences in the college and stressed upon the immense contribution of the college in their progress. The glimpses of various events and activities to be carried out by the college in the academic year ahead were presented by Mrs. Muckta Karmarkar, Head of English Department.
In addition to the above, a presentation on Career Guidance and how to best utilize your strengths in your chosen career was conducted by Mr. Anand Desai. Mrs. Pooja Ambole compered the programme while Mrs. Jayshree Bangali, Co-ordinator B.Sc (Comp. Sci.) proposed the vote of thanks.
