Kaveri College of Science and Commerce commemorate 151st Swami Vivekananda Jayanti with -‘Yuva Saptah’

Kannada Sangha’s Kaveri College of Science and Commerce commemorated 152st Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanand by hosting Yuva Saptah , weeklong activities including the lectures, Tilgul distribution and Blood Donation camp during 12-17 January,2015.

On 12th January, 2015, the inauguration of Yuva Saptah’ was done at the hands of Chief Guest Mr. Rajkumar Kadam, Professor and HOD, Vidya Pratisthan’s Art, Science & Commerce, Baramati.  Dr. S. B. Kharosekar, Principal of the college presided over the function. Mrs. Suchismita Mohanty, Vice-Principal, Mr. Anand Buddhikot, Program Officer, Mrs. Manasi Joshi, Asst. Program Officer, Teachers, and students, were present on the occasion.   Prof. Mr. Anand Buddhikot, Programme Officer, National Service Scheme gave the introduction and the objective behind organizing Yuva Saptah.
Mr. Rajkumar Kadam, in his inspiring speech “Spandane Yuva Manachi”, shared some anecdotes from Swamiji’s life and his thoughts on building the nation through youth by narrating many incidents from Swamiji’s life. While focusing on NSS activities, he expressed the thought that NSS helps to nourish good qualities in youth. On 13th January , Mrs. Rupali Avachare presented the programme  “Thode Aasu, Thode Hasu” and shared various stories and poems  with its meaning. On 14th January, Principal Somprakash Kenjale explained in detail legal aspect of ‘Right to Information’, precaution to be taken and procedure to get information from Information Officer. He answered queries of the participants. On 15th January A very innovative cultural activity on the occasion of Makar Sankranti  of Tilgul distribution to the senior citizens was arranged at “Matoshri” Ashram by the Volunteers. On 16th January, Mr. Kalaynraman created awareness among the students about the Helmate and  its usefulness. He demonstrated the test areas to be checked while purchasing the helmate and told about precaution to be taken while driving.
The Youth Week ended with the Blood donation camp arranged by the NSS dept. College Staff and the students donated blood during this camp. Total 63 donors donated blood in the Blood donation camp.
All the activities of the Youth week were efficiently managed and conducted by Mr. Anand Buddhikot, NSS PO, Ms. Manasi Joshi, Asst. PO and their team under the able guidance of Dr. S.B. Kharosekar.
