Soft Skills Development Workshop conducted in Kaveri College

Kannada Sangha’s Kaveri College of Science & Commerce conducted a 6 days Soft Skills Development workshop for academic year 2014-15 from 4th August to 9th August, 2014 for all TY students of BCA, BBA, B.Sc.(CS), and B.Com. The workshop was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. S.B.Kharosekar, Principal, Kaveri College.  In his address Dr. S. B. Kharosekar gave guidance on the topic “Master key to success” to the participants.  Eminent Speakers like Corporate Trainers, Management Consultants and Soft Skills Trainers gave their presence in the workshop. They shared their expert knowledge on various topics.

Prof. Gaurav  Bakhlival took a session on ‘Aptitude Test’; Mr. Govind Bobade conducted a session on the topic ‘Resume Writing’ & ‘Email writing’.  He also gave guidance on ‘Personal Interview and Group Discussion’ in next sessions.
Ms. Supriya Shetty interacted with students and discussed the ‘Power of mind’. She focused on positivity of mind and optimistic approach.  On ‘Time Management’ Ms. Ashwini Pathak conducted the session and given guidance ‘how to achieve goal through time management? ‘ Ms. Gauri Shinde conducted the sessions on ‘Leadership skills’ and ‘Communication Skills’. Ms. Rasayani Kamat conducted a session on ‘Out of box thinking’ and explained’ how to think creatively’ through group activities.

On 9th Aug in the valedictory programme, Mr. Kushal Hegde, President Kannada Sangha was Chief Guest and Mrs. Malati Kalmadi, Secretary, Kannada Sangha was the Chairperson.  Mrs. Indira Salian, Vice-President, Kannada Sangha, , Mrs.Radhika Sharma, Trustee, Kannada Sangha , Dr. B.D. Chaure, academic adviser, Principal Dr. S. B. Kharosekar and the Co-ordinator of SSDP Committee Mrs. Deepa Sathe were also present for the occasion.

Dr. Kharosekar,in his  address explained the importance of development of personality from various angle.  “Be successful with hard work and skills” was the message given by Principal. Mr. Kushal Hegade, motivated students to be an ‘entrepreneur’ and told participants, “Success can be achieved through sacrifice“.
Mrs. Malati Kalmadi, in her address she appreciated the participants. She focused on the three guiding principles of Kaveri Group of Institutes which are”Safe learning environment, Learner centric education, culture and citizenship’”.

Many students gave their feedback and described that this workshop changed their mindset, changed their attitude towards life and shared other learning.   They thanked Kaveri College for conducting the workshop.

Prof.  Mrs. Ishita Dixit compeered the programme.  Prof.  Pooja Ambole proposed vote of thanks. The programme ended with recital of “Vande Mataram”.
