Martyr’s Day was celebrated on the occasion of the Death Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on 30th January,2023 by the NSS Department at Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce Pune. Principal Dr. Ashok Agrawal, Vice Principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar, NSS Programme Officer Mr. Nilesh Nemade, Office Superintendent Mr. Ravindra Bhalerao, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college were present for the event. Mrs. Suvarna Sabnis compeered the programme.
Principal Dr. Ashok Agrawal and Vice-principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar lightened the lamps and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Principal Dr. Ashok Agarwal addressed the audience. He said that Gandhi is not a personality, but he is a thought which flows in every humanitarian. He urged the audience to follow Gandhian Philosophy which is the only way to success and is the only option for humanity in the contemporary world. The teaching and non-teaching staff observed two minutes of silence to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and other martyrs.
