Book on Online Start-ups released at Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce




Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce organised a book release function of on 1st August 2016 at its premises. A book called ‘Online Start up: E - Vyavsayacha Roadmap’ written by renowned technocrat and entrepreneur Dr. Deepak Shikarpur was released at the hands of Dr. Anand Deshpande, Founder and CEO, Persistent Systems Pvt. Ltd.   

It was a proud moment for Kaveri College as it published its first IQAC News Letter amidst the august gathering. After NAAC accreditation in 2015, the College had constituted the IQAC committee for conducting post-accreditation activities. The last year had been the year of   intense and hard preparation for the college NAAC peers in preparing its report on different curricular and extra-curricular activities conducted by the college.

In her inaugural speech Mrs. Malati Kalmadi talked about the immense growth and journey of Kannada Sangha Pune. Dr. Agashe presented his views on today’s publication industry and made the audience aware of the difficulties the industry is facing. He also appreciated Dr. Shikarpur’s efforts in bringing technical subjects in vogue by making them interesting reads. Dr. Shikarpur while talking on his book emphasised that wealth creation happens with innovative ideas and dreaming big. He said, young students should avail the opportunities in upcoming business start-ups encouraged by Indian government.

Dr. Anant Sardeshmukh appreciated Dr. Shikarpur’s efforts in encouraging young minds in setting up their businesses backed by information technology. Mr. Milind Joshi insisted on Marathi becoming the language of business. He also said that to become a successful entrepreneur students really need to work hard with perseverance and patience. He encouraged students to embrace change to go ahead in life. Mr. Anand Deshpande in his speech encouraged students to have their own start up business and create jobs for others. He urged them to find solutions to their problems and take initiative in executing their ideas.

Mrs. Malati Kalmadi, Secretary, Kannada Sangha Pune, Dr. Anant Sardeshmukh, Director, MCCIA, Prof. Milind Joshi, Managing Director, Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad, Dr. Anand Agashe, Publisher, Menaka Publications, and Mr. Shrinivas Nimkar, Technical writer graced the occasion. Dr. S.B. Kharosekar, Principal, Kaveri College, Mrs. Suchismita Mohanty, Vice Principal, Dr. Jayashri Bangali, Chairperson IQAC, Dr. Muckta Karmarkar, Chairperson Cultural Committee, Teachers, students and parents were also present.

Dr. S. B. Kharosekar proposed the vote of thanks and Dr. Muckta Karmarkar compered the program.
