One day work shop on Digital Marketing held at Kaveri College


A One Day workshop on the basics of Digital Marketing was organized by Kaveri College of Art, Science and Commerce on 22 July, 2017. The workshop was organised by the Kaveri Skills Development Centre (KSDC) in association with Pune Institute of Digital Marketing (PIDM), a training institute of repute which trains students in mastering the art of promoting business on digital media.



Dr. S.B.Kharosekar, Principal, Kaveri College, Mrs. Suchismita Mohanty, Vice Principal, Mrs. Deepa Sathe, Coordinator, Department Commerce,Mr. Abhishek Kharosekar, Director, PIDM, Mr. Kushal Kumar, Assistant Manager, PIDM were present on the occasion.
Dr. S.B. Kharosekar announced that the College is coming up with a certificate course in Digital Marketing in association with PIDM. He emphasized on the need of professional training in Digital Marketing as there is a huge demand for digital marketing professionals. He gave examples of successful entrepreneurs such as Appa Halwai Pedhewala, Vitthal Kamat, Pradip Marathe, and Hanumantrao Gaikwad who started their career with a modest beginning and then how they went on becoming successful in their chosen field. 



In the first session of the workshop, Mr. Abhishek Kharosekar said that Digital Marketing is here to say as India has embarked into a Digital arena full throttle and is turning out to be the biggest market for online business. While speaking in the First session of the Workshop Mr. Kharosekar said that Digital Marketing is the fastest and best way to reach out to perspective customers and expand one’s business. He also informed students about the potential elements of Mobile Marketing, Online Marketing, and careers in Digital Marketing. He also made them aware of the SWAYAM App introduced by Government of India for students.



In the Second Session of the Workshop Mr. Kushal Kumar informed student about the website creation and how to target netizens through webmails, Google Search, Facebook, Instagram etc.
The workshop covered the details of digital marketing including different online tools, its practical aspects, and budgeting.  Both the sessions were hugely informative and helped students learn the art of promoting business through Digital Marketing.
