“Follow the great achievers and visionaries of the society and try to become one.” – Dr. S.B. Kharosekar

A six day Soft Skill Development Programme (SSDP) is organized at Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce from 10th August to 17 to August 2017. The programme is organized in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) under Kaveri Skill Development Centre (KSDC) for all third year students of BCA, BBA, B.Com, B.Sc.(CS), and BA. The programme was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. S.B. Kharosekar, Principal, Kaveri College. Mrs. Suchismita Mohanty, Vice-Principal, Kaveri College and Head, KSDC, staff members and students were present on the occasion.

Mrs. Suchismita Mohanty gave a brief introduction about the workshop and its upcoming sessions. She said that one has to come out of one’s comfort zone and strive hard for excellence and Soft Skills help achieve that excellence. Dr. S.B. Kharosekar in his inaugural speech guided the students on the role and importance of such programmes for their overall development  and appealed them to enrich their knowledge by using such platforms provided by the college.

Further, in his session ‘Keys to Success’ Dr. Kharosekar, asked students to do SWOC analysis and identify their strengths and weaknesses and work upon them to become a better and successful human beings. He said students should observe and try to imbibe the qualities of the great achievers and visionaries of the society. He asked students to broaden their vision, look inside, dream high, accept challenges, think out-of-the-box and remove inferiority complex.
Dr. Kharosekar pointed out that both, the Soft Skill as well as Hard Skills are required to achieve one’s goals in life. “Identify your goals and come out of your comfort zone to achieve them,” said Dr. Kharosekar. He also shared many challenging incidents of his life and inspired students to take decisions, sticking to them, and working on them relentlessly to succeed in the competitive world.

The Programme received an overwhelming response by students. Ms. Soniya Kumbhojkar compered the programme and Mrs. Manasi Joshi proposed the vote of thanks.

In coming days eminent speakers from different fields are invited to conduct various sessions.
