Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce commemorate 154th Swami Vivekananda Jayanti



     
Kannada Sangha’s Kaveri College of Arts,Science and Commerce commemorated 154th  Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanand by hosting Yuva Saptah , weeklong activities including the lectures and Blood Donation camp during 12-18 January,2016. The inauguration ceremony was held at the hands of Chief Guest Mr. Nilesh Dhayarkar from Swaroop Wardhini. Dr. S.B.Kharosekar, Principal Kaveri College, Mrs. Suchismita Mohanty, Vice-Principal, Mr. Anand Buddhikot, Program Officer, Mrs. Shilpa Khadilkar, Head Bahishal Shikshan Mandal of the college, Teachers, and students, were also present on the occasion.  
Mr. Nilesh Dhayarkar, in his inspiring speech emphasized on youth and said that Youth is the best time.  The way in which you utilize this period will decide the nature of coming years that lie ahead of you. He shared some anecdotes from Swamiji’s life and his thoughts on building the nation through youth by narrating many incidents from Swamiji’s life. At the end Mr. Anand Budhhikot proposed vote of thanks for inaugural function
On 13th, 14th and 15th January, various inspiring lectures were arranged on different topics. On 13th Mr. Arun Shinde conducted a session on Changing mentality of the youth. On 14th Dr. Ajit Apte spoke on the topic Shivaji Maharaj and Modern Management. He said Shivaji Maharaj was the king who always thought ahead of the time. Ms. Jyothi Deshpande discussed various experiences she had while travelling and she also shared funny incidences that took place which occurred due to the different dialects of different regions. In the next session Dr. Ajit Apte spoke on the topic Shivaji Maharaj and Modern Management. Ms. Ujawala Kulkarni spoke on the topic Hasyaranjan:Ek patri Karyakram’. She gave her insight on the importance of communication and exercise.
The Youth Week ended with the Blood donation camp arranged by the NSS dept with the help of ‘Puna Serological Institute’s Blood Bank’. College Staff and the students donated blood in the Blood donation camp. Total 67 donors donated blood and 112 students hemoglobin check up was done during this camp
All the activities of the Youth week were efficiently managed and conducted by Mr. Anand Buddhikot, NSS PO, Mrs. Shilpa Khadilkar, Head Bahishal Shikshan Mandal  and their team under the able guidance of Dr. S.B. Kharosekar.
