Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce organized a Guest Lecture on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2020 through online platform of Google meet due to the pandemic situation.
Mr. Nilesh Nemade, Programme Officer, NSS unit
introduced the event and welcomed the Guest Speaker Dr. Sudhir Gade, Dr. Ashok
Agrawal, Principal, Dr. MucktaKarmarkar, Vice Principal, other committee
members and students.
Dr. Sudhir Gade, was the guest speaker for the day. Dr. Sudhir Gade is involved in teaching of Electronics in Abasaheb Garware College, Pune since 2001. He is the joint secretary of Maharashtra Education Society, Pune. On this occasion he spoke about various aspects of the life of Mahatma Gandhi. He also talked about the similarity in and the adoption of Gandhiji’s views on education in the newly proposed education structure. He also gave various examples from Gandhiji’s life, where the latter brought all his thoughts to practice in his own life. He portrayed the transformation of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi into Mahatma Gandhi through various events. He unfolded the life and values taught by Gandhiji and also emphasized that these values can be practised even today, which will enable us to make this world a better place to co-exist.

More than 50 students were benefitted from this
programme.
Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce also
organized an Essay Writing competition on ‘Life of
Mahatma Gandhi’, 12 students participated in this competition. Poster
Competition was also arranged on ‘Journey of Mahatma Gandhi’ to commemorate the
occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, to which 5 students participated.
