Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts,
Science and Commerce organised an industrial visit to Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale,
Ranje Mfg. Unit and Cubix Automation Pvt. Ltd on 25 January 2020, under the valuable
guidance of Principal, Dr. Ashok Agrawal, and Vice Principal, Dr. Muckta
Karmarkar. The
objective of the visit to Chitale Bandhu Manufacturing Unit was to understand
the working of the production facilities, customer satisfaction, and quality
management of the company and to know various factors that steered the company
to attain leadership in the food and confectionary market. The students got to
know the production of bakarwadis at the shop floor. Students observed how the
products at Chitale Bandhu are manufactured with minimum manual intervention to
retain consistency in quality and hygiene. The company follows the principle of
‘People before Product’ to retain its employees. The purpose of the visit to
Cubix Automation Pvt. Ltd. was to learn how artificial intelligence is
replacing manual labour, understand strategic management and automation. Mr.
Avinash Joshi at Cubix Automation, explained the importance of robotics and AI to
the students. The students witnessed the work of ‘Pick up and Place’ Robots. 80
students were a part of this industrial visit.
On 28 February 2020,
college has organized an industrial visit for the students of F.Y. BBA (CA) to
Persistent Systems Ltd. The purpose of this visit was to interact with the
members of software industry, to understand current market scenarios, most
demanding technologies and criteria for selection, etc. Mr. Sidharth Pendse H.R. Manager, Mr. Dominic D' Mello H.R. Person and Mr.
Venki Technical Head conducted an informative session for the students. They
motivated the students to choose their domain and area of interest. Mr. Venki
gave a presentation on the journey and success story of the company over the
years. He discussed about the latest technology trends in IT and focused on
bringing innovation in technology. The next presentation was by Mr. Sidharth and Mr.
Dominic which was based on HR and interview techniques at Persistent Systems.
They gave an insight of the working of the company and discussed how one can be
a part of Persistent Systems. The session concluded with Question- Answer round
after which the students were given a guided tour of the campus. Around 53
students benefited from this visit.
On 7 March 2020, under the valuable guidance
of Principal, Dr. Ashok Agrawal, and Vice Principal, Dr. Muckta Karmarkar, an industrial
visit to Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd., Pirangut, and Kawre Ice
Creams Pvt. Ltd. was organised. The objective of the visit to Hindustan
Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. was to understand the working of beverage
production, automation, quality management, and to know various factors
responsible for it to be one of the leading companies in world beverages. The students were given a
guided tour to their water treatment plant, raw sugar syrup processing room,
ready syrup room, testing lab, packaging unit and distribution unit. They
observed that the company uses only machines for the entire process of production.
Besides this, students were also made aware of their top-notch security system.
The purpose of visit
to Kawre Ice Creams Pvt. Ltd. was to learn the production facility, customer
satisfaction and quality management in ice-cream production. Mr. Yogesh Kawre, Factory In-charge welcomed the staff
and students to their unit. His team explained the students about the
production process. Besides, they were given a tour of their store house,
packaging, testing, and accounts department. They observed the ongoing process
of preparation of strawberry ice-cream and packaging of the same.
