One Day National Workshop in association with Bombay Stock Exchange Investor Protection Fund


Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce organised a One Day National workshop on Financial Planning, Market and Investors' Awareness'  in Association with Bombay Stock Exchange Investor Protection Fund on Saturday, 12th January 2019. The inauguration of the workshop was
done at the hands of Dr. N.S. Umarani, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU)Pune. Mr Kushal Hegde, President, Kannada Sangha, Pune, Mr. C. Vasudevan,  CGN, Head, BSE-IPS Limited, Mumbai, CMA Amit Apte, President, ICAICAMA, Kolkata and Mr. Sunil Kadam, Registrar, NISM, Navi Mumbai, Dr. Ashok Agrawal, Principal, Dr. Muckta Karmarkar, Vice Principal, Dr. Deepa Sathe, Coordinator, and Dr. Shweta Bapat, Organizing Secretory also graced the occasion. The workshop got special guidance from renowned CA CV Chitale, Member, Central Council ICAI, New Delhi, MrMukund Sabu and Mr.Neeraj Kapoor among other dignitaries.

In his welcome speech, Principal Dr. Ashok Agrawal spoke about the glorious achievements of Kannada Sangha Groups of Industry in the field of Education. He applauded the contribution of BSE-IPF in making people aware about financial management, investments in capital market etc.


In his inaugural speech, Dr. N.S.Umarani congratulated Kaveri College for organizing a relevant national workshop on the theme of financial planning and awareness. He said that the need of the hour is to co-create useful knowledge for the younger generation by teaching them Saint Tukaram, Isaac Newton and Amartya Sen simultaneously. Dr. Umarani said the students should also be taught three important things – Values, Economics and Science, because without them, no individual, no society and no country can think of affluence and prosperity. Dr. Umarani said that education is a scientific process of growing and one must invest in education and secure her/his life.

Mr. C. Vasudevan said that there are umpteen opportunities in Capital Market and BSE is creating more avenues by conducting such workshops through BSE’s Investor Monitory Fund. He said that BSE’s IPF will help students with research activities and also encouraged them to invest in capital market.

Renowned CA, Mr. C.V. Chitale gave the key note address which was
followed by various sessions based on topics such as Career and Income
Generation Opportunities in Stock Market, Mutual Funds
and Investors, Awareness about Personal Financial Planning, etc.
 
The workshop received tremendous response from the participants 
across the city and the State.
