NAAC Peer Team visited Kaveri College

A three-member Peer Team from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru, has visited  Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce on 10th, 11th and 12th August 2015. The main purpose of the visit was to validate the Self Study Report (SSR) submitted to NAAC in January 2015 and help the institution in quality improvement.

The team comprised of Chairperson Prof. P.K. Radhakrishanan, Vice Chancellor, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, Member Co-ordinator Prof. Arun Agarwal, Professor, Department of Computer Science, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad and Member Dr. Mrs. J. Kackaria, (Former Principal, Hans Raj Mahila Mahavidyalaya), Director (Public Schools) DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi.

The team visited the departments of B.Com, BBA, BCA, BA, B.Sc (CS) and M.Sc (CS) of the college. They also visited the course wise exhibitions and presentations put up by students.  They interacted with the members of BBA Club, Kaveri Kautilya Club, Kolors of Kaveri Club, and Environmental Forum. Later they interacted with the stakeholders of the college namely, Management, Students, Parents, Alumni and Faculty.  They enjoyed a splendid cultural programme presented by the students of the college.

Next day, the team visited all academic and infrastructural facilities namely, computer labs, library, classrooms, placement cell, students welfare unit, NSS unit, examination section, sports section, ladies common room, gymnasium, counseling unit, healthcare centre, canteen, vermi compost plant and generator room. They interacted with various internal administrative committees followed by checking of documentary evidences. On the last day of the visit, the report was handed over to Dr. S. B. Kharosekar, Principal by the Peer Team during the exit meeting.

The team appreciated the Management, Staff, Students and Alumni of the college and wished best of luck to the college for its growth and development.
