World Environment Day Celebration at Kaveri College on online Platform

 

NSS Unit of Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce organized a session on ‘Ecosystem Restoration’ by Ms. Harshada Khaladkar, Psychologist- ‘Yuvan Wellness’ on the occasion of 'World Environment Day' on 5^th June 2021 through google meet.  Mr. Nilesh Nemade, NSS Programme Officer welcomed Dr. Ashok Agrawal, Principal, Dr. Muckta Karmarkar, Vice Principal, all students and faculty members for the session.  Dr. Jayashri Bangali, Student Development Officer welcomed and felicitated Ms. Harshada Khaladkar, resource speaker for the session.

Ms. Harshada Khaladkar in her session, focused on ecosystems and its impact on human being. She also emphasized that increased human activities in ecosystem lead to imbalance and can cause disease from wildlife to humans. She also shared various ways to improve the situation by creating awareness, changing our lifestyle, tree plantation and water management.

Also, on this occasion, students participated in tree plantation drive. They planted saplings in their society and nearby locations considering covid restrictions, to contribute to better greener future.
